Chin Implant
A chin implant adds projection and definition to a receding or weak chin, improving the balance of the profile and the relationship between the chin, jawline and neck. A well-proportioned chin can bring the whole face into harmony, and the change is designed to look subtle and natural.
Book a consultationWhy consider it
- ✦Strengthens a weak or receding chin
- ✦Balances the profile and jawline
- ✦Often pairs well with rhinoplasty
- ✦Subtle, proportionate enhancement
Who it's for
Chin augmentation suits people whose profile looks unbalanced because the chin sits back relative to the lips and nose, or who would like a more defined jawline. It is often considered alongside rhinoplasty for overall facial harmony. Suitability is confirmed by assessing your profile and proportions at consultation.
What the procedure involves
After analysing your profile, the surgeon selects an implant sized to your anatomy. It is placed through a small, discreet incision — usually under the chin or inside the mouth — and positioned to enhance projection in proportion to your features. The aim is a balanced improvement, never an overdone look.
Recovery & downtime
Swelling settles over one to two weeks and most people return to normal activities within a week, with a soft diet and care around the area in the early days. The final contour becomes clear as swelling resolves, and we review your healing at follow-up.
Risks & considerations
Risks include temporary numbness, swelling or, uncommonly, implant movement that may need adjustment. A chin implant is designed to be long-lasting; non-surgical alternatives such as fillers can also be discussed if you prefer a temporary option. We will recommend only what genuinely suits your face.
