What the procedure involves
After assessing your lids and discussing your goals, the surgeon plans a tailored approach. Upper-lid work removes or repositions a fine strip of excess skin through a crease incision that is well hidden; lower-lid work addresses bags and smoothness, sometimes from inside the lid. Techniques are adapted for monolid and Asian eyelid anatomy where appropriate.
Recovery & downtime
Swelling and bruising typically settle within one to two weeks, and any fine sutures are removed within about a week. Cool compresses and rest help in the first few days. Most people feel comfortable returning to social activities within one to two weeks, with final refinement appearing as residual swelling fades.
Risks & considerations
