Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty reshapes the nose — the bridge, tip, width or overall proportions — to bring it into harmony with the rest of your face. It is most often performed for aesthetic balance, and in some cases also to improve breathing. Our approach is conservative and face-led: we plan changes that suit your features and ethnicity, aiming for a refined, natural result rather than a generic shape.
Book a consultationWhy consider it
- ✦Refines the bridge, tip, width or projection
- ✦Balances the nose with your other features
- ✦Tailored to your anatomy and ethnic profile
- ✦Can address breathing concerns when present
Who it's for
Rhinoplasty is suited to people who feel their nose is out of balance with their face — a prominent bridge, a wide or drooping tip, or asymmetry — and who have realistic expectations. Facial growth should be complete. If you also have breathing difficulty, mention this at consultation so it can be assessed alongside the aesthetic plan.
What the procedure involves
After a detailed consultation and facial analysis, the surgeon agrees a plan tailored to your anatomy. The procedure reshapes the underlying bone and cartilage through carefully placed incisions, which may be inside the nostrils or across the columella depending on the technique. A small splint is usually applied to support the new shape while it heals.
Recovery & downtime
A splint is generally worn for about a week, and bruising or swelling around the eyes eases over two to three weeks. You can usually return to everyday activities within one to two weeks, avoiding strenuous exercise for longer. The tip continues to refine subtly over several months as residual swelling resolves.
Risks & considerations
Rhinoplasty is technically demanding and results take time to settle. Risks include swelling, asymmetry, changes in sensation, or — uncommonly — a need for minor revision. The nose is also affected by healing and your underlying tissue, which can influence the final shape. We discuss all of this honestly so your decision is well informed.

Questions
- Will the result look natural?
- Our aim is a balanced result that suits your face, not a generic 'done' look. We plan with your features and ethnicity in mind.
- When will I see the final shape?
- Most swelling subsides within a few weeks, but subtle refinement of the tip can continue for several months.
- Can rhinoplasty help my breathing?
- In some cases functional concerns can be addressed alongside the aesthetic plan. This is assessed individually at consultation.
