Onda Pro Coolwaves™

Onda Pro uses Coolwaves™ — patented microwave energy that passes selectively through the skin's surface to reach the dermis and the fat layer beneath, where laxity and stubborn pockets actually develop. One platform covers two jobs: tightening the jawline, lower face and neck, and contouring localised fat on the body, with less energy spent at the surface than traditional thermal treatments — so sessions feel gentler while heat builds precisely where it is needed, without surgery or downtime.

Why consider it

  • One platform for facial tightening and body contouring
  • Selective Coolwaves™ reach the layers where laxity and fat sit
  • Gentler surface sensation than traditional thermal treatments
  • No incisions, no anaesthesia, no downtime

Who it's for

On the face, Onda suits early to moderate laxity: a softening jawline, deepening smile lines, fine crepey skin on the neck, and maintenance after eye-area procedures — some clients alternate it with HIFU lifting, and we recommend one, the other, or a combination only where it genuinely adds value. On the body, it suits people near a stable weight with defined pockets — a lower-belly pouch, love handles, inner thighs or 'bat-wing' arms. It is not a weight-loss method: where the volume is larger, liposuction remains the more decisive answer, and we will tell you honestly which side of that line you are on.

What the procedure involves

Onda Pro's three patented handpieces span face and body. The 3mm Pocket tip treats precise zones such as around the eyes and mouth; the 7mm Shallow tip works the cheeks, jawline, double chin and upper arms at the shallow fat layer; and the 12mm Deep tip reaches deeper, stubborn deposits on the abdomen, hips and thighs. Because the energy passes the surface selectively, heat concentrates where it matters with less surface discomfort — the same warmth that disrupts fat also stimulates tightening, which is what distinguishes Onda from cold-based treatments and complements our non-invasive body sculpting options. Most sessions take thirty to forty-five minutes, with no incisions and no anaesthesia.

Recovery & downtime

You can return to your day immediately; mild warmth, pinkness or slight swelling usually settles within hours to a day. Firming from collagen remodelling builds over eight to twelve weeks, while treated fat is cleared gradually by your body across two to three months, supported by hydration and steady activity. In our climate, protect treated skin from strong midday sun — our guide to recovering in KL's tropical climate explains why this matters more here.

Risks & considerations

Results develop gradually, vary between individuals, and a course of several sessions is typical rather than a single visit. Onda refines, tightens and reduces localised pockets, but it cannot replicate surgery on advanced sagging or larger volumes — where a facelift or liposuction would honestly serve you better, we will say so at consultation. It is not suitable during pregnancy or over certain implants; a medical assessment comes first, every time. If you are budgeting for a course, our guide to what really drives treatment costs in KL explains how clinics price these plans.

Questions

How is Onda different from HIFU?
HIFU delivers focused ultrasound to precise depths, while Onda uses selective microwaves that warm the dermis and fat layer more broadly and comfortably. They can complement each other — assessment decides which fits your skin.
How is the body treatment different from liposuction?
Liposuction physically removes fat in one surgical step; Onda reduces localised pockets gradually over a course of non-invasive sessions with no downtime. The right choice depends on volume, skin quality and your goals.
How many sessions will I need, and does it hurt?
Most plans involve a short course spaced a few weeks apart, mapped honestly at consultation. Most clients describe deep warmth rather than pain — Coolwaves spend less energy at the surface, so it is generally more comfortable than traditional thermal treatments.
